For the first time, the Muslim Council of Elders participated in the most prominent international fair dedicated to Islamic literature. The Council's pavilion highlighted its newest and most important publications and hosted several well-attended seminars, garnering significant attention from both officials and the public. Dr. Kiai Haji Ma’ruf Amin, Vice President of Indonesia, took part in the activities at the Muslim Council of Elders' pavilion and spoke at the scholarly seminar titled ‘Humanitarian Aspects of Islamic Civilization’. This session also included notable speakers such as Dr. Muhammad Quraish Shihab, a member of the Muslim Council of Elders and former Indonesian Minister of Religious Affairs; Dr. Lukman Hakim Saifuddin, former Indonesian Minister of Religious Affairs; and Dr. Muhammad Zainul Majdi, former Governor of West Nusa Tenggara. Discussions focused on the contributions of Islamic civilization to fostering coexistence and promoting tolerance among peoples.
