The Muslim Council of Elders made a notable contribution to the 21st Islamic Book Fair 2023 in Jakarta, reinforcing its mission to promote peace and correct misconceptions. The Council's pavilion was awarded ‘Best Pavilion’ at the event, which is the largest Islamic book fair in Southeast Asia, selected from among hundreds of local and international organizations and publishers. The pavilion was widely praised for its engaging activities, particularly the cultural seminars addressing key issues. These included a session on ‘Islam and Politics: Civilized Political Conduct’, and another titled ‘Religion and Climate Change: A Review of a Book Titled The Last Generation: The Muslim World's Efforts to Prevent Climate Change and Environmental Extinction’. Additionally, a seminar highlighted the profound humanitarian principles in the Document on Human Fraternity, signed by His Eminence Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and President of the Muslim Council of Elders, and His Holiness Pope Francis, Pontiff of the Catholic Church, in Abu Dhabi in 2019.
