His Excellency Dr. Ahmad Abdulaziz Al-Haddad, a member of the Muslim Council of Elders: Allah has appointed humans to act as vicegerents on Earth to worship Him, develop it, and build upon it.

His Excellency Dr. Ahmad Abdulaziz Al-Haddad, a member of the Muslim Council of Elders, Senior Mufti, Director of the Ifta Department in Dubai, and a member of the UAE Council for Fatwa, emphasized, "Allah has made it incumbent upon humanity to uphold the Trust. There is no trust more deserving of being undertaken after religion than the environment, in which the son of Adam was appointed to act as a vicegerent to worship Allah and populate the earth."
His Excellency Dr. Al-Haddad, in the twelfth episode of the "Humanitarian Values with the Muslim Council of Elders" program, which is broadcast daily throughout the month of Ramadan on the Council’s platforms on social media, stated, "Undertaking the Trust is indeed a heavy responsibility. Still, it is a duty for humans who accept it, given their innate readiness and their distinction with intellect, weighing matters, on the scales of Sharia, intellect, and interests. Allah Almighty says: ‘Indeed, We offered the Trust to the heavens and the earth and the mountains, but they declined to bear it, being fearful of it. But humanity assumed it, for they are truly wrongful to themselves and ignorant of the consequences" (Surah Al-Ahzab: 72).

He further noted that corruption in the land and sea refers to the corruption of the environment, making it uninhabitable. If the environment becomes corrupted, it will turn against its inhabitants, leading to destruction and ruin, as evidenced by environmental pollution, floods, earthquakes, and melting glaciers as well as the increased heat resulting from the harmful actions of individuals who wrong themselves. Therefore, preserving the environment is one of the most fundamental religious and moral obligations. His Excellency Dr. Al-Haddad underscored the necessity for humans to preserve planet Earth and its natural resources.
Building on its strategy to leverage all media platforms in promoting peace and disseminating the values of dialogue, tolerance, and human coexistence, the Council presents five diverse Ramadan programs broadcast daily through its social media pages: "Imam Al-Tayeb," "Humanitarian Values with the Muslim Council of Elders," "Month of Harmonious Coexistence," "Reflect on Fasting," and "Humanitarian Stories with Youth."
