Egyptian President Makes Phone Call to Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders, to Inquire About His Health
His Eminence Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, received a phone call from Mr. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt. During the call, the President inquired about the Grand Imam's health, praying to Almighty Allah for his swift recovery and the continuance of his good health and well-being, and for his preservation for Islam and Muslims.
The Grand Imam expressed his deep gratitude to President El-Sisi for his noble sentiments, sincere prayers, and commendable stances, appreciating his efforts to support the role of Al-Azhar and its scholars in promoting moderation, which enhances Egypt's status and its role in promoting stability and peace in the region.
Grand Imam Al-Tayeb and President El-Sisi also exchanged congratulations on the upcoming Eid al-Fitr, praying to Almighty Allah to return these occasions to the Egyptian people, the Arab and Islamic nations, and the entire world with goodness, peace, security, and safety.
