His Excellency Dr. Mishaal bin Fahm Al-Salami
His Excellency Dr. Mishaal bin Fahm Al-Salami holds a PhD in Comparative Thought from the University of Exeter, UK, in 2002. He has been Vice President of Egypt’s Shura Council since November 2020. Previously, he served as President of the Arab Parliament from December 10, 2016 to October 17, 2020. He served as a member of the Arab Parliament from March 2012 to December 9, 2016. He also served as a member of the Shura Council for three consecutive terms (5th, 6th, and 7th) from 2009 to 2020. Dr. Al-Salami chaired the Education and Scientific Research Committee of the Shura Council in 2015 and 2016 and served as Vice Chair of the same committee from 2012 to 2014. He was a member of the Shura Council's Education and Scientific Research Committee from 2009 to 2018, and a member of the Shura Council’s Foreign Affairs Committee in 2019.
