He holds a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom. He is an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Christian-Muslim Studies, as well as the Director of the Sheikh Nahyan Center for Arab Studies and Dialogue among Civilizations at the University of Balamand.
He has participated in international training courses for specialists on "Building Peace" and "Dealing with the Past," organized by the Geneva Center for Security Policy (GCSP) and Swisspeace, on behalf of the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs. He is a facilitator and expert in interfaith dialogue, conflict prevention, and peacebuilding, working with the Common Space Initiative, the World Council of Churches (WCC), and the King Abdullah International Center for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue (KAICIID).
From 2008 to 2015, he served as the Assistant Secretary General of the Middle East Council of Churches (MECC) and Director of the Inter-Church Network for Development and Relief (ICNDR). Prior to this, he was the Regional Secretary of the World Student Christian Federation (WSCF) in the Middle East from 1998 to 2007.
