Osman Mirghani
Osman Mirghani is a Sudanese writer and journalist. He graduated from the University of Khartoum’s Faculty of Economic and Social Studies with honors in Political Science in 1977. His career in journalism began at the London-based newspaper Al-Arab, followed by work at renowned newspapers and magazines such as Al-Muslimoon and Al-Tadamun. In 1988, he joined Al-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper, where he spent over a quarter of a century, rising through various leadership roles to eventually become its former Deputy Editor-in-Chief. He specializes in political affairs and international relations, and takes a keen interest in global economic issues, climate, and the environment.
