His Eminence Sayyid Ali Al-Amin
His Eminence Sayyid Ali Al-Amin, a senior religious authority in the Republic of Lebanon and a member of the Muslim Council of Elders, is a revered religious figure among scholars in Lebanon and the Islamic world. He has mentored many scholars and is an advocate for dialogue, coexistence, and unity among sects. He has delivered hundreds of lectures and seminars, and carried out research aimed at spreading religious awareness, promoting moderate discourse, and denouncing extremism, hatred, and bigotry. Among his notable works are Silsilat al-Durus fi 'Ilm al-Usul (‘The Book of the Series of Lessons in the Science of the Fundamentals of Religion’) Al-Sunnah wa al-Shi'ah Ummah Wahidah (‘Sunnis and Shiites: One Ummah’) Islam Wahid wa Ijtihadat Mut'addidah (‘One Islam, Multiple Interpretations’) and Zubdat al-Tafkeer fi Rafd al-Sabb wa al-Takfir (‘Essence of Thought in Rejecting Insults and Takfir’). He has participated in numerous seminars and conferences around the world, advocating for tolerance and preaching the unity of human fraternity.
